We are delighted by the new gazebo and expansion to the LeFevre butterfly garden. Progress is happening as we add electricity and plant the new garden.
The garden is open 24/7 for the community to enjoy!
Please stop by a the garden anytime, and consider pulling a weed or two, watering or doing any of the tasks listed. All help is very much appreciated. Tuesday and Thursday mornings usually has a volunteer in the garden for info and advice.
With your help the garden will be ready for the
JULY GRAND Re-OPENING and the Butterfly Release in August.
For info to schedule your Wedding, party or other event in the garden please call WGC.
On June 1st we kicked off a campaign to raise money for new plants needed in the LeFevre Butterfly Garden Expansion.
The individual plants ranges from $50 – $300
with the total cost expected to be $3,500.
While that seems like a lot, just think... if 100 members give $25 each we will have $2,500 of the needed funds. We are hopeful you will contribute any amount towards the completion of the LFBG. Contributions may be given in the memory of a loved one, or given anonymously. All contributors will be recognized in the WGC newsletter. Giving levels are noted by Native plants.
So far we've had $1,420 in donation!
$1 – $75 MILKWEED LEVEL
$76 – $150 BUTTON BUSH LEVEL
$151 – $250 DOGWOOD LEVEL
$251 & ABOVE – BIRCH TREE LEVEL
